The protective padding incorporates Koroyd which is a new generation of protective material that utilises a sandwich construction of angular tubing made for a special co-polymer. The integral Koroyd pads absorb and disperse over 80% of transmitted forces away from the hip bone and into the pelvic girdle, surrounding soft tissue and muscle - greatly reducing the risk of hip fracture. The pads are positioned over each of the greater trochanters (hip bones) where they are sewn into the briefs which are made from 100% pure cotton. The pads are sewn in and are non-removable to ensure that they are correctly positioned, held in place and to restrict any movement of the pads whilst being worn.
